What are Snapshots?

A Snapshot contains various settings stored within a library (Kontakt Instrument) like a preset.

You can also save your own snapshots for custom presets.

We recommend these free softwares for unzipping/unpack the delivered .ZIP file.

MacOS: TheUnarchiver

Windows: WinRAR

Instruction for manually installing Snapshots.

1. If not already done! Unzip/Unpack the .ZIP file which was delivered to the E-mail that was used for purchase. A folder with all necessary files should now exist. Example: "Swensoniq sfx"

2. Locate the "Factory Presets" folder within the unpacked folder. Inside this folder are the Snapshot files, snapshots have a file ending like this ".nksn". Select all files and Copy.

3. Navigate to the default Kontakt snapshot location:

Mac OS X: Macintosh HD/Users//Documents/Native Instruments/User Content/Kontakt

Windows: C:/Users//My Documents/Native Instruments/User Content/Kontakt

4. Create a new folder named exactly as the Kontakt Library (Example: "sfx") Paste the snapshot files into that folder.

5. Open Kontakt 7 and load the Kontakt Library in this example: sfx.nki.

A list of snapshots with all Factory Presets should be available when pressing the arrow as shown on the image below.
